I'm officially a published author

I have two exciting things that have happened for me today that I wanted to share. First off, I am really excited because my bow holder craft project was just featured on another blog called Tip Junkie. It is a must to check out! http://www.tipjunkie.com/ It is a great site where you can glean a multitude of ideas from talented women from around the world. I am always amazed at how much talent is out there, and feel grateful that my bow holder tutorial project was chosen to be shown.

The tutorial can be found in my archives if you are interested in taking a peek and making one yourself. It is a fun project to make, and it costs so much less then purchasing one, and is much cuter in my opinion.

I first ran across the Tip Junkie site on Our Ladies Room - For Todays LDS Woman http://www.ourladiesroom.com/ , because it was a spotlighted blog, and I have been hooked ever since.

The second amazing thing that happened to me today is that now I can say I am officially a published author of a magazine article. In November I was approached to be a regular contributing writer for Latter-Day Woman Magazine. It is an online magazine for Latter Day Saint Women. The magazine just came out and can be looked at from www.ourladiesroom.com or http://www.ldswa.com/latter-day-woman-magazine. I wrote an article on the current color trends for 2009 and also talked about how different colors evoke different moods and also gave hints as to what colors work best in different rooms in your home. It is featured in the April/May 2009 edition!!!

I am up against another deadline for next week but the theme is going to be on how to properly hang and display your photographs and art, and also show some different creative ways that you can display your photos. So, check out Tip Junkie and Our Ladies Room! What are you waiting for? :)
